VIDEO: Sage Steele of ‘SportsCenter’ on Tennis, Her ‘Other’ Dream Job and More

by Nicholas McCarvel

SportsCenter anchor Sage Steele has been to a lot of sporting events, covering the NBA finals, the Brickyard 400 and the Super Bowl, but the Connecticut resident said there’s not really anything like the New Haven Open at Yale, which offers fans an up-close and intimate view of the world’s best women’s tennis players. Monday night the ESPN personality spoke at a New Haven Chamber of Commerce event prior to the night session and we caught up with Steele thereafter, where she told us which tennis legend she’d want her daughter to hit with, her favorite TV moment and what her “other” dream job would be if she wasn’t in front of the camera.
