Caroline Wozniacki will commence the Tuesday evening session at 7 p.m., as she begins her quest for a record-fifth Connecticut Open title. Winner of four consecutive crowns in New Haven from 2008-11, the Dane faces a stiff test in young up-start Alison Riske, a Pittsburgh native and main draw wildcard.

World No. 6 Lucie Safarova appears in the nightcap, matching wits with Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, a 7-5, 5-7, 6-2 winner over Zarina Diyas in the first round. Safarova, a French Open semifinalist, aims for her second quarterfinal berth in New Haven, following her 2012 Round-of-8 effort.

Featuring a Grand Slam finalist and 2014 Connecticut Open runner-up, the afternoon session also provides plenty of fanfare. Lucky Loser Lesia Tsurenko begins Stadium Court play at Noon against Barbora Strycova, a 6-2, 7-5 victor over hard-hitting Italian Camila Giorgi. Dominika Cibulkova, a 2014 Australian Open finalist, continues her valiant return from Achilles surgery against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic. Another Frenchwoman, Caroline Garcia, looks to halt last year’s Connecticut Open runner-up Magdalena Rybarikova in the third match of the afternoon session.

Doubles action takes center stage on the Grandstand beginning at Noon. Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Raluca Olaru battle Julia Goerge and Lucie Hradecka, followed by the pairing of Hao-Ching Chang and Casey Dellacqua against Vania King and Olga Savchuk, and Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Johanna Larsson compete in the final doubles tilt versus Oksana Kalashnikova and Alicja Rosolksa.

In addition, Tuesday features a full slate of off-the-court activities to entertain the entire family. Come try the latest Wilson technology at the Wilson Junior Demo & Burn Challenge and show your Huskie pride for UConn night. In addition, USTA members receive special ticket savings all day!
