When Christina McHale arrived to New Haven last night on a flight from Cincinnati, her luggage did not make the trip. It’s a good thing the American finally located her belongings, however, as the 23-year-old will stick around for at least one more match and a berth into the main draw.

McHale swept a double-header on Saturday, taking down Margarita Gasparyan 7-5, 6-1 before an impressive 2-6, 7-6(5), 6-3 triumph of former top-30 Brit Laura Robson.

No. 3 seed Lesia Tsurenko also continued her strong surge in New Haven, while fellow top-60 players, Roberta Vinci, Carina Witthoeft and Magdalena Rybarikova also moved on to the final round.

The main draw begins at Noon on Stadium Court with former Australian Open finalist Dominika Cibulkova taking on Tsvetana Pironkova, followed by Zarina Diyas matching wits with Irina-Camelia Begu. For a full schedule of Sunday action, click HERE.
