Connecticut Open Men’s Legends Event: The Boys are Back in Town

Remember the days of fans screaming from the J Block, fueling Fairfield native and two-time Connecticut Open Champion James Blake to one of his many victories on Stadium Court? (Above photo: Billie Weiss/Connecticut Open)

How about Andy Roddick toeing the baseline at the US Open, bouncing the ball feverishly as he set to uncork one of his devastating serves?

Do you recall the smashing forehand of four-time Grand Slam Champion Jim Courier, winner of 23 ATP Tour singles crowns including two Grand Slams?

Whether you remember vividly or you’re just being introduced to the game, you’re in for a treat.

The boys are back.

Men’s tennis returns to New Haven in a massive way on Wednesday and Thursday night, as Fairfield native Blake invites former World No. 1s Courier and Roddick to Stadium Court for the first-ever Connecticut Open Men’s Legends Event.
